If you knew us as SAIL (Senior Advocacy for Independent Living), welcome! While this program’s name has changed, our commitment to helping older adults remain independent and connected to their communities remains the same.
What began as a community initiative serving Northern Door County has grown into Age In Place Door County, a program of Do Good Door County with a vision of serving older adults throughout the county.
Our mission continues to be simple: helping people remain in the homes they love while providing opportunities to stay active, engaged, and connected through volunteers, educational programs, and community resources.
As our program expanded beyond its original communities, we wanted a name that clearly reflected both our mission and our vision.
Age In Place Door County tells people exactly what we do and where we serve. It also better represents our goal of making services available throughout Door County as volunteers and community partnerships continue to grow.
While our name has changed, the relationships, values, and neighbor-to-neighbor support that defined SAIL remain at the heart of everything we do.
Members continue to enjoy:
Our volunteers continue to make a meaningful difference by sharing their time, talents, and compassion with older adults throughout the communities we serve.
Age In Place Door County is more than a new name—it’s a reflection of our continued growth and our commitment to helping more older adults live independently and remain connected to their communities.
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are discovering us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.
