Current Board Members:

Cynthia Germain is the founder, CEO and current Board President of Do Good Door County, based in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  Cynthia has led the organization since its inception in 2021, born out of her dedication to aging concerns and Door County.  Do Good Door County is part of the Active Seniors Options, Inc. family, a 501c3 organization which she joined in 2007 and has directed all operations since 2015. Cynthia has had a wide range of experiences that has developed her current capabilities as the principal of the ASO non-profit organization. After completing her B.S., she had a successful 10-year career in the for-profit arena as a Human Resources professional. During her HR tenure, she also completed her M.B.A. She left this path to pursue her passion and a career in the aging field. Initially as a licensed nursing home administrator, Cynthia led a 200-bed skilled facility and a specialized assisted living home. Wanting to make a broader impact on older adult care, she began work at the Continuing Education Institute of Illinois, another member of the ASO family. With this organization’s focus on educating health and allied professionals on relevant geriatric topics, she grew its reach throughout Illinois, received multiple grants, and maintained its status as the premiere provider of continuing education in the field. Cynthia brings enthusiasm, integrity, and a calm demeanor to all the efforts that will develop Door County into a place where she wants to grow old…a place where everyone lives engaged, respected and well-served.
