Vitality in Aging Program

The Vitality in Aging Program is a funded initiative dedicated to promoting the well-being of older adults in the Door County community, with a focus on social, physical, and nutritional health. Vitality in Aging features a unique rewards system, reminiscent of the beloved S&H Green Stamps from earlier years. This nostalgic approach motivates participants to actively engage in maintaining and enhancing their social connections, physical activities, and dietary habits. By joining this program, older adults can enjoy a fulfilling journey towards improved health and stronger community bonds.

Program Pillars:

 Social Health

The Vitality in Aging Program significantly improves the social health of participants by fostering meaningful interactions and engagement with family, friends, and the broader community. This is achieved through various initiatives and activities designed to create opportunities for social connection and reduce the risk of isolation among older adults.

 Physical Health

By incorporating a variety of physical activities into the program, Vitality in Aging ensures that participants can find enjoyable and sustainable ways to stay active, enhancing their overall health and quality of life.

 Nutritional Health

Healthy nutrition is a crucial component of the Vitality in Aging Program, as it plays a vital role in maintaining the overall well-being of older adults. Proper nutrition helps support physical health, enhances energy levels, and boosts the immune system, making it easier for seniors to stay active and engaged in their daily lives.
