What’s with the survey?

On October 4th, the Age-in-Place survey will be launched! Door County residents will have a chance to voice their needs and preferences to stay in their home of choice as they age. Survey takers will answer questions about the types of services that would help them stay in their homes, the different social activities to engage in, the issues typically faced when getting older, and more.

What does home look like when you are old

The survey is intended to collect information and feedback from Door County residents regarding how they view the opportunities and challenges faced by those who wish to age in place and to identify ways we can all work together to enhance the age-in-place infrastructure. The tool, designed by St. Norbert Strategic Research Institute, will give us information that will tell us where Door County is today and what directions we can take to make improvements.

What’s next? We will head out to the different areas of Door County in November to share the results of the survey and discuss what may be the priorities of each unique town, village and city. We will then be able to develop effective action plans through collaborations with municipalities, organizations and local businsesses to help make aging in place safe, enjoyable, and viable for current and future residents.

Take the survey! See you in November!
